Hilltop High School celebrated its 2025–2026 Homecoming on Friday evening with a ceremony honoring this year’s court and the crowning of the new king and queen, Brynn Rodriguez and Zakkary Cammack.

The court was presented before a packed crowd on the home sideline prior to kickoff, continuing a cherished Cadet tradition.

Representing the freshman class was Nayah Rodriguez, daughter of Emily and Josh Rodriguez, escorted by Roarke Layman, son of Rob and Dawn Layman. Nayah has been active in 4-H, volleyball, basketball, track, dance, band, and serves as both a class officer and student council representative.

She enjoys reading, getting food, or going to Walmart with her sister Brynn, and plans to attend college to study early childhood education to become a preschool teacher.

Roarke participates in basketball, baseball, and the Hilltop Marching Band. In his spare time, he enjoys drumming, playing disc golf, riding four-wheelers, and exercising. His future plans include becoming a day trader.

The sophomore class was represented by Rachel Dickinson, daughter of Kent and Emily Dickinson, and her escort, Carson Patten, son of Mandy and Lucas Patten. Rachel is involved in band, drama club, track, FFA, youth group, and 4-H. She enjoys walking her pig and spending time with friends, and plans to attend college to major in education.

Carson participates in golf and basketball. Outside of school, he enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and friends, and beating his brother at golf. Carson’s future goal is to become a certified automotive technician.

Representing the junior class was Kelsy Connolly, daughter of Brian and Karen Connolly, escorted by Camryn Nichols, son of Cory and Nettie Nichols. Kelsy plays volleyball, basketball, and softball, and serves as her class president.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, painting, spending time with family and friends, and playing sports. She hopes to pursue a career in forensic chemistry.

Camryn has participated in football and baseball, and enjoys hunting, spending time with family and friends, driving around, and working. His future plans include becoming a sheriff or entering the military.

The senior attendant was Molly Dickinson, daughter of Kent and Emily Dickinson, escorted by Drew Bailey, son of Tonya Bailey and Dustin Bailey. Molly has been active in varsity basketball, track, marching and concert band, 4-H, NHS, choir, and youth group. She enjoys playing pickleball with friends, walking her pig for the fair, and working at the YMCA daycare.

Her future plans include working with children and possibly pursuing a degree to further that goal.

Drew participates in golf, basketball, and track. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends. Drew plans to enter the workforce and become a diesel mechanic.

Following the attendants’ introductions, Hilltop High School introduced its new Homecoming Queen and King. Brynn Rodriguez as the 2025 Homecoming Queen and Zakkary Cammack as the 2025 Homecoming King.

Brynn, daughter of Josh and Emily Rodriguez, has been involved in volleyball, track, club volleyball, student council (where she serves as president), class vice president, and NHS.

She enjoys reading, binge-watching shows, hanging out with friends, getting food with her sisters, and singing Hamilton with friends. Brynn plans to continue her volleyball career in college while studying sports psychology.

Zakkary, son of Heather and Michael Cammack, has been active in football, track, cheer, FFA, NHS, and student council. He enjoys playing guitar, riding motorcycles, and spending time with friends. Zakkary plans to earn his EMT certification and hopes to become a flight paramedic.

In Cadet tradition, following the introductions of the attendants and the king and queen, Brynn Rodriquez was crowned and presented as the 2025 Hilltop High School queen. Crowning the new queen were last year’s Homecoming royalty, Libbie Baker and Conner Sanders.

Libbie is currently attending Bowling Green State University, majoring in Dietetics, while Conner studies Interior Design at Kent State University.

Helping recognize the members of this year’s court were flower girl Hadley Morgan Ziehr, daughter of Mike and Aubry Ziehr, and crown bearer Kash Yerington, son of Jeff and Amanda Yerington.

Hadley enjoys playing outside, swimming, baking, and going on buggy rides, and hopes to become a veterinarian. Kash enjoys four-wheeling, wrestling, and playing baseball, and dreams of becoming a rodeo clown.

The night ended with cheers and smiles as the 2025 Hilltop Homecoming Court joined family, friends, and classmates gathered to celebrate them.

The community extends its best wishes to each member of the court, wishing them continued success and happiness in all of their future endeavors.
