(September 2nd, 2014)-WEST UNITY: They may have been taken to a third and final set, but the Seventh Grade Lady Cadets were able to successfully defend their home court against the invading forces of Edgerton.

Both Hilltop Junior High Squads were challenged by the visiting Bulldogs, with varying results. The Eigthth Grade Cadet Unit struggled mightily in the match, unable to find a rhythm throughout. Dropping the first set 7-25, the hometown girls couldn’t regroup for game 2. They were taken down by Edgerton 4-25 in the second set, losing the match itself.

After a strong showing in game 1, claiming a 25-16 victory over the Bulldogs, the Cadet Seventh Graders found themselves down early in the second set. The youthful girls of Hilltop lost game 2 11-25. With a third game becoming necessary, Hilltop responded with poise and determination, winning a back and forth affair with the Edgerton girls, 25-19.
