(December 16th, 2014) – DELTA: After a disastrous first quarter against the hometown Panthers of Delta, the visiting Junior Varsity Lady Cadets battled their way back into the game.

Unfortunately, their efforts weren’t quite enough, as they lost to a talented Delta team 29-26.

The opening period of the contest was not kind to Hilltop. The Lady Panthers went on a run, leaving the Cadets in their dust. When the quarter ended, the Hilltop girls were down 11-3. Resiliently, they bounced back in the second stanza, trailing just 14-12 going into the half.

Defense ruled the third quarter for both teams. Heading into the final period of play, Hilltop was down 19-16. In that fourth quarter, both teams scored 10 points, leading to the final score of 29-26.

Aubrey Wyse paved the way for the Cadet offense, scoring 7 points in the game. Junior Julia Dunson put up 6 points in the loss as well.
