Hilltop Lady Cadets Blast North Central At Home To Remain Perfect In BBC Play

WEST UNITY: April 24– The Hilltop Lady Cadets behind a 3 hit performance from the mound by Bailey Funkhouser, blasted Hilltop 10-1 to move to 6-0 in the BBC and 8-5 on the season.

Funkhouser threw 7 full innings in the game, allowing just 3 hits and 1 run while setting down 4 Lady Eagle batters in the game .

Offensively for the Lady Cadets, Brittany Mocherman connected for 2 singles driving in 2 RBI’s on the day while Allie Schmitt continued her hot streak with a double and triple on the game, driving in 1 RBI. Funkhouser also drove in a run off of a single; Shayla Kauffman hit for 2 singles and Brooke Chapin connected on a single driving in a run for Hilltop.

In the loss for North Central, Reese Cogswell took the loss. Cogswell was beaten around for 9 hits in the game and allowed 10 runs in the loss.

Offensively in the loss, Rachael Oxender connected for 2 doubles, driving in 1 run on the day while Sabrina Pickford also connected for a single.
