Hilltop Student Joins Four County Classmates At Skills USA State Competition In Columbus

2015 skills usa state contests WEB Five students from Four County Career Center placed in the top three in the 2015 Skills USA State competition in Columbus. Two of these students placed 1st earning them the right to advance to national competition in Louisville, Kentucky, June 22-26. These two students from the Career Center will join other conference delegates from across the nation to participate in the 51st annual National Leadership and Skills Conference.

Placing in the top three at State competition are (LEFT TO RIGHT) Michael Gineman (Defiance) Technical Drafting; Clarence Hartzell (Liberty Center) Internetworking – will be competing at Nationals; Brock Hoops (Patrick Henry) Related Technical Math – will be competing at Nationals; Nate Smith (Fairview) Carpentry; and Kristina Eitniear (Hilltop) Cabinetmaking. The Skills Ohio championships consists of 81 career, technical and leadership contests. Participants are challenged to complete a project in their area of career and technical training within a specified time period while being scored by a panel of judges.
