April 12th was an exciting day for Hilltop’s Cadet Chorale, an auditioned high school singing group. That morning, 11 of the 13 members of the chorale geared up to travel to Toledo, where they sang the National Anthem in a stadium filled to the brim with people who came to see the Toledo Mud Hens take on the Indianapolis Indians.

Director Daniel Baumgartner shared that this trip adds another dimension to their repertoire, which holds performances at places such as the Toledo Zoo, graduation, and the St. Paul Apostle Church in New York.

The year isn’t through yet for the Cadet Chorale, and they’ll be performing on May 5th for their annual concert (featuring a Glee version of Somebody to Love), as well as a Cabaret (which features many chorale members) on May 17th.

Congratulations to the students that make up this year’s Cadet Chorale: Marissa Bennett, Julia Dickinson, Molly Dickinson, Halle Jones, Savanah Westfall, Kenley Routt, Austin Gault, Kris Hansen, Arend Schuurman, Dylan Siebenaler, Kason Rediger, Brynn Rodriguez, and Aiden Terrill.
