FAYETTE: January 18, 2014 – The Fayette Eagles celebrated Homecoming on January 18 with the customary clash against the Holgate Tigers. The annual battle between the Purple and Gold people has become a pressure-packed tilt that is worth more than the price of admission.

This year was no exception as the Tigers got out to an early lead, then had to fight tooth and nail to maintain it against a determined Eagles squad. The rally of the hometown boys was cut short by the clock though, as Holgate escaped with a 51-46 win.

Jerad Seiler led Fayette with 14 points. Chandler Sanford and Tyler Cox each had 10 points, Skylar Lantz and Tristen Bates had 4 points apiece, and Grant Schaffner and Koby Biddix each had a deuce.
