Indians/Locos Travel To Paulding; Indians Grab 2nd Place Paulding Invite Finish

PAULDING, August 14, 2014: The Wauseon Indian Golf Team hit the road on August 14 to open up 2014 play at the Paulding Invitational.  This year’s Paulding Invite featured a field of 17 teams with the NWOAL’s Indians and the Montpelier Locomotives participating along with the majority of conference teams from Ohio Oldest Conference.  Wauseon made a strong statement for the upcoming season with a second place finish overall, falling just 13 points shy of the top placing Kalida team, finishing with on the day 323. The Montpelier Locomotives finished thirteenth in the field with a score of 385.  It was a tight finish in a field that saw just 50 points separate the top 14 teams on the day.

Individually for the Indians on the day, Trevor Dominique turned in a 71 to lead the way for Wauseon.  David Williams came into the clubhouse with an 80 while Brady Rupp came in at 85 on the day.  Tyler Clausen finished up with an 87; Anna Marshall shot a 90 and Chase Brock rounded out the Indians day with a 92.

No individual stats pertaining to this match were received from Montpelier.
