Joe Short Begins His New Term With Fulton County Commissioners

RETURN TO DUTY … Fulton County Commissioners welcomed Joe Short back to work on January 4, 2021, following a break between elected terms. He spent time as a commissioner from 2007 to 2010 and is happy to be back behind his name block. (PHOTO BY REBECCA MILLER, STAFF)

Monday morning, January 4, 2021, saw Joe Short taking his seat again in the Commissioners Chambers of Fulton County. Short was a Fulton County Commissioner from 2007 to 2010 and is pleased to be joining the commissioners again.

The commissioners voted to approve:

•Minutes of the December 31, 2020 meeting ( with Short abstaining)

•Agenda as presented

•Review of 2020 Registered Apiary Inspection Summary Report

•Review of Fulton County Dog Warden Reports for 12/12/20, 12/19/20 and 12/26/20

•Increase and transfer appropriations for various departments

•Resolution 2021-004 Appoint 2021 Apiary Inspector

•Resolution 005 Approve Change order #1 Final and Pay Request #1 Final to Zenz Farms for Ditch 2137 Branch 4 Grass Run Improvement Project

•Resolution 006 Agreement 2021-001 with Julian and Grubb for GAAP Conversion services on behalf of Fulton County Auditor

•Resolution 007 Enter into 2021-002 with D&R Demolition Corporation for PY19 CDBG Project: County Road 22, Fayette Ohio

•Resolution 008 Extend various contracts on behalf of Fulton County Public Utilities

•Resolution 009 Personnel action – JFS internships (students from NSCC)

•Purchase orders and travel requests

Previous to this brand new year of meetings, one last one was held in 2020 on December 31 at which a few other resolutions were passed. Commissioners voted to approve:

•Minutes of December 29, 2020

•Agenda as presented

•Engineers notice of alternate 2021 Holiday Schedule for Highway Department and Engineer’s Office

•Waivers of ALS Charges

•Resolution 2020-928 Personnel action for JFS

•Purchase orders and travel requests (last motion made by Commissioner Bill Rufenacht before retirement)

Meeting adjourned after just 5 minutes of business. Happy retirement to Commissioner Rufenacht and welcome back to Commissioner Short.
