National recording artist Josh Wilson will fill the gym of Fayette High School with Christian pop music on Thursday, October 30, starting at 7:00 PM.
Fayette United Methodist Church (UMC) is sponsoring this stop on The Carry Me Tour, which also features renowned recording artists Citizen Way and Dan Bremnes.
Rev. Kathy Currier, a pastor at Fayette UMC, said they “make outreach a priority and are always looking for ways to be in ministry in the community and surrounding areas.”
“We saw a great opportunity to bring national recording artists to the area and grabbed the chance!” she continued.
Wilson was the 2012 ASCAP Christian Songwriter/Artist of the Year and a featured performer at the Grand Ole Opry. He has over 200,000 career album sales. His success includes four top-five Christian AC Indicator tracks, including his latest single “Pushing Back the Dark.” Citizen Way is comprised of two sets of siblings with strong ministry backgrounds. Their latest single, “How Sweet the Sound” hit number two on Christian AC Indicator in August. Bremnes’ 2010 album, “Your Strength” received six GMA Canada Covenant Nominations including “Male Vocalist of the Year.” His new single,”Beautiful,” is currently number six on the Christian AC Indicator.
Currier said that they are “very excited about the concert” and the “opportunity to share Christ in the community.” She said that they are not expecting to make any money from sponsoring the concert, but any proceeds will go to their Youth Group, FUMY (Fayette United Methodist Youth).
