Julia Sandoval (1927-2022)

Julia G. Sandoval, 95, of Montpelier, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at her home.

She was born on July 1, 1927 in Mexico to Jose Maria Garcia and Maria Santos Maldonado.

Julia enjoyed needle work and sewing. She loved flowers, going to garage sales and taking the kids to get donuts.

She is survived by her children, Jose L. Sandoval, Sr. of Wauseon, Maria A. Sandoval of Archbold, Marcial Sandoval of Montpelier, Maria E. Gonzales of Archbold, Jose S. Sandoval of Montpelier, Maria C. Sandoval of Montpelier and Cecilia Vargas of Maumee; 13 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; siblings, Consuelo Cabrera, Antonia Cabrera, Linda Cabrera and Teresa Cabrera.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Esteban Sandoval.; son, Cipriano Sandoval; grandson, Jose L. Sandoval, Jr; granddaughter, Kristina Souza; brothers Jose Luis Garcia and Pedro Cabrera.


A visitation will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Julia will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.

Memorial contributions may be made to CHP Hospice.
