Kaleb W. “K-Bob” McLaughlin, 20, of Pioneer, died early Monday morning as the result of an auto accident in rural Pioneer. He was born on June 4, 1993, in Defiance, Ohio, to Michael W. McLaughlin and Kim M. (Folk) Oxender. Kaleb graduated from North Central High School in 2012. He worked for the past three years at Reifel Industries in the shipping and receiving department.

Kaleb is survived by his fiancé, Mercedez Lloyd of Montpelier; mother, Kim (Kevin) Oxender of Pioneer; two brothers, Jacob E. McLaughlin of Pioneer, and Logan M. Oxender of Pioneer; sister, Rachel M. Oxender of Pioneer; maternal grandparents, David and Kathleen Folk of Defiance; and several aunts, uncles and cousins; father, Mike (Kelly) McLaughlin of Toledo, Ohio; two half brothers, Lucas McLaughlin and Tater McLaughlin both of Toledo, Ohio.

Donations may be made in Kaleb’s memory to Pioneer E.M.S. or to the North Central F.F.A. Online condolences may be made at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.

On July 20, 2004, Kaleb asked God to be his Savior. This was found in Kaleb’s Bible by his mother Kim.
