Lloyd H. Siegel, 83, of West Unity, died Thursday evening, June 20, 2013, surrounded by his family, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center in Bryan, OH. He was born July 3, 1929, in West Unity, to the late Leonard and Suzie (Keiser) Siegel. He married Gloria Armbruster on November 21, 1951, in Angola, IN, and she preceded him in death on October 17, 1995.
Lloyd grew up in the West Unity-Alvordton area and graduated from Alvordton High School in 1946. He and Gloria lived in Camden, MI for several years of their marriage before returning to West Unity in 1973. Farming was his life-long passion and career, and he also was employed as a truck driver for many years.
Surviving Lloyd are two sons, Donald (Pamela) Siegel of Camden, MI, and Galen (Sheila) Siegel of West Unity; two daughters, Darlene (Junior) Heller of Horton, MI, and Kandy (Myron) Dunbar of Pioneer, OH; a sister, Doris Snow of Bryan, OH; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Jean Pfund of Fayette.
In addition to his parents and wife, Gloria, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Paul Siegel; a brother, Harold Siegel; two sisters, Betty Fenton and Gladys Bailey; and a grandson at birth, Gavin Siegel.
