Karen F. Roth, age 83 years, of Archbold, passed away Tuesday evening, November 8, 2022, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
She was born January 5, 1939, at Archbold the daughter of Earl and Nola (Short) Roth, and married Roger Roth on June 15, 1963 and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2015.
She worked many years as a nurse at the Archbold Medical Group before retiring to become a full-time babysitter for her grandchildren.
Karen was an avid reader who loved her yearly vacation in Aruba, walked many miles on the streets of Archbold pulling her oxygen tank and spent countless hours on the bleachers of every nearby school.
She was the #1 fan of her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker.
She is survived by four children, Kent (Kari) Roth, Kim M. (Greg) Walker, Brian (Lynne) Roth, and Brad (Aimee) Roth, all of Archbold; nine grandchildren, Michael Walker, Cayla (Adam) Swisher, Toby Walker, Kreighton Sims, Cahle Roth, Evynn Roth, Avery Roth, Baylee Lumbrezer and Wyatt Lumbrezer; sisters, Mona Riegsecker, and Sue Roth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Eugene; and a sister Avon Wyse.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11 AM at Lockport Mennonite Church with Pastor Matt Weaver officiating. Interment will precede at 10 AM in the Lockport Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 3-7 PM on Friday, November 11, 2022.
