Katheryn Morr (1917 – 2013)

OBIT - KATHERYN MORR - WEBKatheryn Lucille Morr “Katie” 96, of Edgerton went home to be with the Lord on Friday August 16, 2013. She battled Alzheimer’s disease courageously for many years and had been a resident of Parkview Nursing Center in Edgerton during this time.

Katie was a Williams County Resident for her entire life, being born on January 21, 1917 to Stella (Stafford) and Alfred Huston in Bridgewater Township, Ohio.

Katie had worked for many years at Robinair of Montpelier and always had a garden where she grew ample food for her family and friends. A strong woman, she was always a hard-worker and loved being with her children and grandchildren.

She married Russell J. Morr on October 4, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 1989.


In addition to her husband and parents, Katie was preceded in death by her sister Eunice White and her brothers Kenneth Huston and Guy Huston.

Her surviving family includes children Eddie (Janet) Morr of Edon, Janis (Jody) Montgomery of Montpelier; grandchildren Erin and Josh Nester of Edon, Kari Morr and friend Aaron of Hamilton, Indiana, Dustin (Kristi) Morr of Greenville, Ohio, Jennifer (Brice) Koning of West Lafayette, Indiana and Jana (Tyson) Horton of Montpelier. Her loving great-grandchildren are Tripp and Gauge Nester, Kira and Alison Dietz and Kayleigh, Gabrielle and Isaiah Horton.

Visitation hours for Katie will be on Sunday, August 18th from 4-7pm at the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier. Services will be on Monday at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier, Ohio. Donations can be made to the Community Health Professionals- Hospice, the Activity Fund at Parkview Nursing Center or the Williams County Humane Society.
