August 25th-HICKSVILLE: Traveling to foreign soil, the Lady Cadets waged war against the Aces of Hicksville. The junior varsity brigade had a hard fight on its hands, as road teams often do. Yet they were able to persevere, recovering from an early loss to defeat the Aces in three sets.
Game 1 was difficult for the Cadets. Hicksville pulled away, taking the set 25-14. The Hilltop girls were able to reverse that score in the second set, taking the game, 25-14. The deciding round was an intense battle, with the Lady Cadets pulling out the victory, 25-23.
