August 26th-DELTA: Taking to the road, Wauseon sought to take down the Delta Panthers on their own court. However, it wasn’t meant to be, as the Lady Indians lost in straight, though hard fought, sets.
In game 1, the Indians kept things close, losing 23-25. Game 2 went in a similar fashion, as Wauseon dropped the set 21-25. In the third set, the Panther momentum became too great for the Lady Indians to overcome, and the were defeated 14-25.
Amy Bosell and Kierra Fountain each had 5 kills for the Lady Indians, with the latter also 4 aces and 3 digs. Kallie Strauss led the defensive effort with 3 blocks, as well as 2 kills offensively. Hayley Chamberlain handed out 8 assists in addition to her 2 blocks at the event.
