Lady Locos Downed By Evergreen

February 1, 2014Updated:December 31, 2020No Comments2 Mins Read

MONTPELIER 1/30/2014—The Lady Vikings of Evergreen took down the Lady Locomotives of Montpelier in NWOAL action, with the Vikings taking home a 53-32 win.

It was a poor night on the offensive end by Montpelier, only getting 16 percent of the field goals that they attempted to fall, making it difficult to keep up with Evergreen. The Viking’s established a lead early, owning a 14-10 advantage after one quarter of action.

The struggling Loco offense was unable to find any relief in the second quarter, as Montpelier was only able to score three points in the period. By the time halftime came, Evergreen had grown their lead to 24-13.

The Lady Locos would be unable to cut in to the Viking lead in the second half, as Evergreen would outscore the Locomotives 16-11 in the third quarter, and 13-8 in the fourth, giving Evergreen the 53-32 victory over Montpelier.

Hannah Blake was the Locomotives leading scorer with 12 points. Baylee Hageman scored eight, Regan Steffes put three on the board, McKenna Quaderer had two, and Bre Stein, Maddie Richmond, and Marinna Mercer all finished with one point.

SCORING BY QUARTER:
Evergreen: 14, 10, 16, 13—53
Montpelier: 10, 3, 11, 8—32
