Local Obituary: Joann Barlow (1955 – 2025)

(Retired From Young Spring & Wire In Archbold)

Joann D. Barlow, age 69, of Bryan, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born on June 28th, 1955 in Napoleon, Ohio, to the late Richard Alvin and Anna Louise (Hoops) Miller.

On September 22, 1973 she married, the love of her life, Bobby R Barlow in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1996.

After many years, Joann retired from Young, Spring & Wire in Archbold. After retirement, she worked at Marathon gas station in Bryan. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan and enjoyed her pets and gardening in her spare time.


Joann is survived by her sons Chuck (Pamela) Barlow, of Bryan, James Barlow, of Wauseon and Kyle (Jenn) Barlow, of Bryan; 4 grandchildren, Vincent Riter, Bobby Barlow, Colin Barlow and Raymond Barlow; brothers Tom (Pat) Miller of South Ogden, Utah, and Ken (Phylis) Miller of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio and sisters, Sharon (Ken) Vorwerk of Napoleon and Shelly (Ronnie) Hollingshead, of Halls, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and longtime companion, Kevin Wilson.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Fountain Grove Cemetery with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Joann’s arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.

Memorials are requested to the Williams County Humane Society.
