(Lifelong Resident Of Archbold Area)

Louise M. Wyse, age 101 years, of Archbold, passed away Sunday morning, August 11, 2024 at Fairlawn Haven.

She was born June 24, 1923 just west of Tedrow the daughter of Elmer and Carrie (Rohrs) Kutzley. She married Lowell E. Wyse on April 26, 1944 and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2006.

A lifelong resident of the Archbold area where she worked at King-Wyse factory in the office by day and out on the floor at night.

In the late 50’s Lowell and Louise started a trucking business that went well but getting burned-out by the early 70’s decided to sell out and begin farming.

Louise also worked at Northwest Veterinarians for 14 years as she loved to help the dogs and cats. She mostly liked working outdoors helping on the farm doing whatever was needed; sometimes those jobs were not the best but did them anyway.

She was a member of St. Martin’s Church helping make blankets and quilts also worked on the funeral committee for a long time.

She is survived by her two sons, Dexter (Gloria) Wyse of Fayette and Kevin (Kathy) Wyse of Wauseon, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Lowell, brother; John Kutzley.

Services will be held on Friday, August 16 at 3 pm at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church with Deacon Steven Basselman officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 1 – 3 pm on Friday.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be given to St. Martin’s Lutheran Church or Pettisville Cemetery.
