The Lyons-Royalton Fire Department once again held their annual Halloween Costume Contest on Monday, October 31st.
At 7:00 p.m. immediately following Trick-or-Treat in Lyons, everyone was invited over to the fire station to take part in the event.
Before the contest, donuts and cider were freely available to anyone who wanted some.
The event, which has been taking place at the fire hall for more than ten years, and for more than 30 years in the village as a whole, helps to give everyone another chance at Halloween fun before the night is over.
The contest is open to people of all ages, with everyone being split up into four different age ranges.
When it is time for the contest, each group takes a number, holds it up proudly and walks around for the judges to determine who gets first, second or third place as well as a cash prize that is given to each winner respectively.
It is a good amount of wholesome fun for the whole family and it allows everyone to spend time with the local first responders who work hard to keep everyone safe.
The Lyons-Royalton Fire Department will also be holding a Turkey Party on November 12.
The party will take place at 6:30 p.m. and the raffle will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Five prizes are to be given away with 1st place being $500, 2nd place being $250, 3rd place being $150, 4th place being $75 and 5th place being $25.
Tickets are priced at $1 or $5 for 6 tickets.
