On 5-30-2018 at approximately 3:00pm, members of the Multi Area Narcotics Task Force and a Defiance County Deputy attempted to serve Felony warrants on Carl M. Hagerman, 38, address unknown; at 1557 Terrewenda Drive, in the City of Defiance. While approaching the residence Hagerman fled the residence and a foot pursuit began. The pursuit lasted several blocks with Hagerman entering the woods near Forest Court.

Carl Hagerman was located by Defiance City Police Officers in the wooded area at Darbyshire and Huron Drive where he was taken into custody. Hagerman was arrested on two Felony warrants out of the Defiance County Common Pleas; Trafficking in Cocaine, and Failure to Appear for Probation, the third warrant was for failure to appear out of Defiance Municipal Court on a theft charge.

Hagerman has also been charged with Obstructing Official Business, Possession of drug abuse instrument, Possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest. Hagerman is being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and will appear in both Courts later this week.

Assisting the Man Unit were the Defiance City Police Department, The Defiance County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 Unit, and the Adult Parole Authority.
