Mary J. Kuney, 85, of Fayette, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020, at the home of her daughter. Mary was born on April 3, 1935.
She is survived by her daughter Lynette (Kevin) Repp, her son Lanny (Helen) Hayes, granddaughter Lisa (TJ) Jones, grandson Aaron (Bethany) Repp, her four beautiful great granddaughters Ali, Graysen, Alyvia, and Karlen. As well as her sister Margaret (Bruce) Hayes, her brother Allen Kuney, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was the daughter of the late Arlo and Delia (Hiser) Kuney. A 1953 graduate of Gorham Fayette High School, Mary worked for many years at Fayette Tubular until it’s closure. Mary loved to read, garden and sew.
She enjoyed country music, Pepsi, chocolate, crossword puzzles, and giving her grand dog Miggy lots of back rubs. Most of all she enjoyed watching her great granddaughters grow up.
In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her infant daughter Dana, sisters Neva Comadoll, Arlene Wheeler, Jeanette Kibler and brothers Jerry, Larry and Gerald Kuney.
According to Mary’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services. Those planning a memorial contribution in Mary’s memory are asked to consider the Gorham-Fayette Fire Department.
