Max W. Stough, age 90, of Delta passed away Monday evening June 13, 2016 at Fulton County Health Center. He was born in Detroit, MI on March 2, 1926, the only child of the late Max Stough, Sr. and Eva (Johnston) Stough. In 1945, he was united in marriage to Jerry Joyce Alcorn and she preceded him in death in 2010.
Max was a Veteran having served as a Corporal with the U.S Armed Forced during World War II from 1953-1955. Prior to his retirement he worked for Campbell’s Soup Company and also for Chrysler as an electrician and over time advanced to a management position. Max enjoyed racing cars, fishing, hunting and raising buffalo along with his family. He was always known as a fix-it man and enjoyed conversing with his friends at the Barn Restaurant. He was a member of the Delta American Legion Post #373.
Max is survived by his children, Max (Betty) Stough, Jr., of Delta, Sally (Mike) Sgro of Wauseon, Penny (Leland) Abbott, of Delta, Lewis (Jill) Stough, of Pioneer and Kathy Todd, of Wauseon; Ten grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and a special friend and her daughter who were very close to his heart.
Along with his parents, Max was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jerry Joyce.
