Meet Sheila Whitlock, the author of The Shulamite at the Stryker Branch Library on Monday, November 16th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

Sheila Whitlock first moved to Northwest Ohio to attend Defiance College, and has been a resident of Stryker since 1977. While working in the healthcare profession, Sheila would often come across the question, “How do I find my purpose?” In response, The Shulamite was written. The book will guide you through The Song of Songs, penned by King Solomon of the biblical Old Testament. As a graduate seminary student, the author uses the Hebrew language of the text to assist the reader in the study of the Song of Songs. Following the principles outlined, it will help the reader realize their purpose and calling. The author takes the reader through the journey of the Shulamite bride to reveal how she reunites with her bridegroom.

At the library, Sheila will be holding an informational presentation on her book, followed by a question and answer session. The author will also be available for a book signing, with copies of The Shulamite being sold. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. If you are unable to attend the program you can order the book online at Amazon.com, Createspace.com, and eBay.

The Stryker Branch library is located at 304 South Defiance Street. For more information, please call Connie Aeschliman at 419-682-5081.
