(September 25th, 2014)-MONTPELIER: Hosting NWOAL opponent Bryan, the Lady Locomotives of Montpelier were set to defend their home court in junior high action. While this endeavor proved difficult, Montpelier persevered, with both the Seventh and Eighth Grade matches.

For the Seventh Graders, the games were close. The first set was a defeat for the Lady Locos, with Bryan slipping by 26-24. Montpelier rallied to force a game 3, winning the second set 25-16. In that game 3, the set was a back and forth affair. The Locomotives came out on top 25-20 to claim the match.

In the Eighth Grade match, the Locos got off to a slow start. They dropped game 1 to the Golden Bears 16-25. Building steam, the Lady Locomotives took the next two set 25-13 each to take the match.
