(December 8th, 2014) – MONTPELIER: Inviting the Aces of Hicksville onto their home court, the Montpelier Junior Varsity squad had great difficulty matching the production of their Green Meadows Conference foe.

The Locos were able to hold the Aces to 5 points in the first quarter, a total out put they were able to match. The second period saw Hicksville explode offensively, however, and the Locomotives weren’t able to keep pace. The visitors scored 18 points in the quarter, compared to Montpelier’s 7.

Coming out of half time, the game looked to revert back to a defensive struggle. Hicksville score just 2 points in the third period, though Montpelier was unable to capitalize on this opportunity due to a 0 point performance. The Aces once again found their offense in the fourth quarter. They produced 22 points, while the young Locomotives could only counter with 3 of their own.

The final score was 47-15 in favor of Hicksville.
