EDON – The Montpelier Lady Locomotives traveled to Bomber Country to tangle with Edon in what turned out to be anything but a pitcher’s duel. Trailing by three in the bottom of the seventh, the Belles in Bomber Blue mounted a strong rally, but that rally fizzled out just short of their intended mark as Montpelier came away with a 12-11 win.

Wendy Duchene got the start for Montpelier and went 2 innings in which she was tagged for 5 runs on 8 hits and a walk, fanning one. Lauren Dye finished and got the win, allowing 6 runs, 4 earned on 8 hits and a walk, whiffing a pair.

Kaitlin Chrisman went the distance for Edon, allowing 12 runs, 11 earned on 19 hits.
