(September 9th, 2014)-LIBERTY CENTER: A late rally was not enough for the junior varsity girls of Montpelier to overtake the home team Tigers of Liberty Center on Tuesday. The Lady Locos were defeated in straight sets, but came within a few points of forcing a decisive third game in the series.
The Locomotives got off to a slow start. Game 1 saw the Tigers pull away early and not look back. Montpelier dropped the set 10-25. They came back in a fury for the second set. The game went back and forth, but Liberty Center was able to hold on for the win, 25-23.
The Lady Locomotives may be 0-8 on the season, but that record is not indicative of the heart they displayed in this match.
