This year’s Homecoming game is just around the corner and that means it’s time to meet Montpelier’s Homecoming Court. There are six attendants chosen by the students, two of them being Homecoming Queen hopefuls.

The game in question will be on September 25th, with Montpelier squaring off against Toledo Christian. At 6:00 on game day, a parade will be held in honor of the Homecoming Court, beginning at the pool parking lot. It will travel north to Wabash Street and from there to Charlie’s Way, where it will go part the nursing home and field house. The parade will be comprised of the Homecoming Court, the Montpelier Marching Band and Cheerleaders, and representatives of each class carrying banners.

Freshman Attendant Lauren Cooley is the daughter of Troy and Cyndi Cooley, and has 3 older siblings: Kelsey, Amber, and Stephan Cooley. Lauren plays volleyball, basketball, and softball. When she is not busy with sports or Spanish club, she enjoys going to the lake, or camping.

Sophomore Attendant Jacqueline Carlson is the daughter of Andy and Julie Carlson, and sister to Nic Carlson. Jacqueline participates in cross country, basketball, and track. When not at school, she spends her time with friends, or watching Netflix.

Junior Attendant Misheala Robertson is the daughter of Phil and Tracy Robertson, and has two brothers: Clayton and Webster Robertson. Misheala’s activities include Volleyball, Track, Spanish Club, and Montpelier’s Locomotion. When not working or busy with school activities, Misheala enjoys hunting squirrel and turkey.

Hannah Blake is one of three Senior Attendants, and a Homecoming Queen Candidate. Hannah is the daughter of Midge and Joe Blake, and sister to Michael and Kelly Blake. She plays basketball, volleyball, and is on the track team. She is also a member of Montpelier’s Locomotion, National Honor Society, Student Council President, and is Class Treasurer. Hannah’s hobbies include playing sports, listening to good music, and spending time with friends and family.

Savannah Graham, second of the three Senior Attendants, and another Homecoming Queen Candidate, is the daughter of Katy Green, Jason Ghraham and Korina Graham. She is the sister of Chelsea Graham and Brayden Brink. Her activities include Student Council, National Honor Society, and track. When not working or at school, Savannah enjoys painting, discovering new music, and going to the beach.

The final Senior Attendant and Homecoming Queen Candidate is Maddie Richmond, Daughter of Cory and Tara Richmond. Maddie has two siblings, Easten and Jaxon Richmond. Maddie plays basketball, softball, and volleyball. She is also a part of Montpelier’s Locomotion, National Honor Society, Student Council, and is Class Officer. Maddie spends her free time with friends, golfing, wakeboarding, and watching her brothers play sports.
