ARBOR DAY … Montpelier Tree Commission member Roy Rozelle speaks to Montpelier Elementary School first-graders about Arbor Day. He shared a brief history and significance of the day and talked about the school’s plans to plant trees every year to create a woodsy look to the grounds. This year, the Tree Commission planted a Crimson King Maple. The students were each given a pine sapling to take home. Also on hand from the commission were Ron Andrews and Ben Williebey.
