Montpelier Village Chamber Continues With Comprehensive Plan

Montpelier Village Manager Kevin Brooks reported the Comprehensive Plan is moving forward. He will be scheduling a public meeting and then have an Executive Committee meet twice a month.

The chamber would like to have students at Montpelier High School design logos for the village and the chamber.

The Ghost Walk is scheduled for 6-10 p.m. Oct. 29.

Meeting with Fair Board to re-establish a working relationship.

The chamber would like to see how it can keep people downtown after the opening ceremony for Bean Days.


There are eight properties to be torn down in the village that are delinquent on taxes and unable to be fixed up.

Beginning Oct. 3, garbage service will be handled by ARS.

Dave Tilly reports VBS was a huge success.

The chamber’s radio advertisement program with WBNO August sponsors will be Distinctive Roof and Thompson Geesey Funeral Homes.

Miller’s New Market has rejoined the chamber, joining new members Decked LLC and Tim Rausch State Farm with a ribbon cutting scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 2.

The chamber will be looking into a student intern from Montpelier Schools for the office to help while Susan Gearhart is out meeting with members.


The chamber’s next meeting will be at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9.
