Natalie (Glover) Short, 88, Archbold, Ohio passed away peacefully after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on May 30, 2020. She was born July 26, 1931 in Ann Arbor, MI to the late Paul Overton and Susan Eugenia (Dodge) Glover.

She graduated from Fayette High School in 1949 and married her husband, Eugene W. Short on June 23, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1999. Natalie enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, walking for coffee with a dear friend and the love of rescuing dogs.

In later years, she also enjoyed traveling to numerous countries with her husband and after his passing, then traveled with her daughter, Cindy. Their last trip together was on a cruise to Cuba.  She also volunteered her time at Care & Share and Fulton County Health Center.

Natalie is survived by three children, Jeffrey (Ann) Short of Delaware, OH; Cynthia Short of Archbold and Lisa (Michael) Dominique of Findlay, Ohio. Her two grandchildren Natalie (Dan) Bowen of Folson, PA and Zachary Dominque of Knoxville, IA.  She was also looking forward to the birth of her first great-grandchild due this fall.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Susanne Lester of Fayette, OH and an infant brother Paul Gene Glover.

A private graveside service will be held at the Archbold Cemetery due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Short Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be given to the Fulton County Humane Society.

Natalie’s family would like to thank all those who have supported them with prayer and acts of kindness.

A note card that Natalie always had with her:

Mourn not for me I’m at rest

My soul is with my Savior blest

I am from sin and sorrow free

Prepare my family and friends to follow me
