North Central Baseball Dropped By Delta In Extra Innings

April 16, 2013Updated:December 31, 2020No Comments2 Mins Read

PIONEER – On Friday, April 5th, the North Central Eagles and Delta Panthers needed nine innings to settle the diamond battle. When the dust had settled the Panthers pushed across a pair of runs in the top of the ninth inning to down the Eagles 7-5.  Errors played a huge part in the outcome as North Central’s five miscues led to four unearned runs.

Branden Turner hurled the first seven innings for North Central surrendering five runs, with just two being earned, six hits, eight strikeouts, two walks and plunked two batters.  Jalen Dancer pitched the final two frames absorbing the loss after allowing a pair of runs (one earned), two hits, fanned one, and issued two free passes to first base.
