The Board opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Roll Call. Next up, Athletic Director Andrew Mickey, awarded the winter sports teams with certificates.
Undefeated (18-0) & BBC Champs Boys seventh grade Jr High basketball team includes: Kendon Brigle, Jaziel Dominguez, Anton Hegler, Carson Nixon, Jackson Poynter, Talen Reinbolt, Alex St. John, Kade Stewart & Kale Thompson. Coach Josh Bailey and Coach Jordan Reeves.
BBC Co-Champions & Sectional Champs High School Boys basketball team includes: Ethan Beard, Joey Burt- 2nd team BBC & Div. IV District 7 Honorable Mention, Quin Burt, Zach Hayes- 1000th point, 1st team BBC, BBC Player of the year & Div. IV Dist. 7 1st team, Colton Hicks, Landon Justice, Gage Kidston, Cohen Meyers, Colin Patten- BBC Honorable Mention, Ben Pettit, Mason Sanford and Jake Turner. Coaches Chris Fidler, Nelson Turner, and Jalen Dancer.
High School Girls basketball team includes: Madison Brown- 1000th point, 1st team BBC, Div. IV Dist. 7 1st team & Academic Dis 7, Kendal Bonney- 2nd team BBC, Div. IV Dist. 7 Honorable Mention & Academic district 7, Lauren Balser- BBC Honorable Mention & Academic District 7, Riley Brown- Academic dist. 7, Isabelle Burnett- BBC Honorable Mention, & Coach Kim Hutchison.
Next, the Board approved the minutes from the February meeting, as well as financial statements and investments from February 2022.
The Board then approved the pending employment contract with Michael L Bute, as Superintendent for a three-year contract commencing August 1, 2022- July 31, 2025.
In addition, the Board approved a Resolution to approve Bute, additional work days prior to August 1, 2022 at his per diem daily rate.
Next, Board members passed a resolution to approve the second reading of the proposed policy revisions for Neola Volume 40, Number 2 as presented at the February meeting.
Board members passed a resolution to approve an agreement between North Central Local School District Board of Education and the Eagle Football Boosters for the continuation of the Jr High Football Program as well as the Varsity Football Program for the 2022 season.
Board members approved a Resolution for the 2021-2022 Wellness Grant Funds, in the Ohio Student Wellness Success Funding Plan for NCLS.
The Board approved the Addendums for The Resolution to approve the Varsity Gymnasium AHU Controls Upgrade project proposal with Fitzenrider- Air Force One ($29,150.00).
The second Resolution the Board approved was a proposal for an agreement between Pylon Sign from Toledo Sign, Inc. ($41,595.03).
Board Members approved employment contracts as follows: Josh Hicks- van driver, Sammy Pettit- van driver, Lindsey Eckley- JV Track Coach, Devin Nafziger- Jr. High Track Coach, Eryn Shaw- Jr High Track Coach, Tristen Tomblin- Girls Asst. Softball Coach, Macie Williams- Girls Asst. Softball Coach, Ryan Bethel- Volunteer Baseball Coach, Alyssa Faler- Volunteer Softball Coach.
Board members approved to rescind contracts for Adam Knepper- JV Track Coach, and Aubrie Ridinger- Jr. High Track Coach.
Board members approved the resignation for Abigail Hendricks- Intervention Spec. Instructor/ Co- Teacher, Grade 2 (effective June 30, 2022), and Karrie Esterline- JH/HS Educational Aide.
The Board approved the NwOESC Gov. Board R.C. 3313.845 Service Agreement for the 2022-2023 school year.
This agreement is made by the North Central Local School Board of Education and the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center Governing Board.
The Board also approved the NwOESC Teacher and Paraprofessional Substitute list dated March 2. 2022.
The Board went into executive session to discuss personnel for negotiations and confidential matters as required by state and federal laws. No action was taken
