BRYAN: June 28 – North Central plated three unearned runs off of Nic Schieber, and Jordan Bailey made them stand up as the Eagles opened the 2014 ACME Sectionals with a 3-1 win over Hilltop.
Bailey allowed one run in the complete game effort for North Central. The Eagles only had three hits off of Schieber, but five Hilltop errors led to two unearned runs on a Jordan Reeves base hit in the fourth, and another in the fifth that was plated by Josh Sawyer. David Pinc also had a single.
Quinn Smith had a single and a double for Hilltop, with Colin Sabins getting a pair of singles, Zach Roehrs a base hit, and Schieber an RBI sacrifice fly.
