GIFT … North Central Elementary School received a gift from the members of the SOAR (Students Offering Acceptance and Respect) group. The group purchased an Eagles Buddy Bench for the playground. The Buddy Bench helps foster friendships on the playground. If a student needs someone to play with, they sit on the bench. When others see them there, they ask them to join their activity. Others may choose to sit on the bench to chat, learn more about each other, and develop a friendship. The Eagles Buddy Bench was unveiled during the annual Peace Week at North Central. Shown with the bench are second graders Stella Fellers, Kade Stewart, Addison Burger, and Cash Martin. Back row senior SOAR members are Brock Zuver, Alyssa Swank, Allyson Hutchison, and Kelsie Sutton.
