September 2nd-MONTPELIER: The match was a hotly contested one, going to a third and deciding set, but it was the Lady Eagles of North Central who slipped out of Montpelier with the win. The junior varsity contest was an intense battle, with the Eagles pulling away late in the third game.

Wasting no time, both teams stormed the court in the first set. North Central won a hard fought game 1, however, 25-23. Game 2 saw no slow down in the action. Montpelier was able to even the match out with a 15-20 win. In the third set, though, the Lady Eagles gave the Locos more than they could handle, taking the game 25-15.

Charlie Baker served up an impressive 8 aces on the evening for North Central. Makayla Knapp hit 8 attacks with 3 kills in the win as well.
