ARCHBOLD – Recently two Archbold Bluestreak athletes each signed a national letter of intent to continue their athletic careers at the next level as Cahle Roth signed to play golf at the University of Findlay and Brodie Dominique is headed to Michigan State to wrestle.

For Dominique, becoming a Spartan was the obvious choice after visiting East Lansing. “It felt at home to me and met all the things I needed to succeed at the next level to reach my goals”, said Dominique, who will be studying TRA Marketing.

“I looked at other schools, but none stood out to me like Michigan State did. The recruiting process was stressful, but it was fun to travel and see different colleges most people don’t get to do”, he added.

Dominique will be looking for his fourth NWOAL title this winter along with going for his second consecutive state title after placing seventh as a freshman and the runner-up as a sophomore.

FINDLAY GOLF … Pictured with Cahle (center) at his signing day are seated Lynne Roth (mother), Brian Roth (father) and standing Rod Atkinson.

Cahle Roth listed state of the art facilities, Head Coach Dominic Guarneri, a history of program success, and familiarity with some of the players already on the team as the reasons for choosing Findlay to play his collegiate golf.

“Coach Guarnieri has been great through the entire recruiting process. He was very engaged and a great communicator”, said Roth who will be majoring in Finance. “Findlay just felt like the best option for me.”

Roth had an outstanding career on the links for Archbold with his accomplishments including: 2023 1st Team All-Ohio; 2x state qualifier; 4x 1st team NWOAL; 2022 NWOAL Player of the Year; 2021 Sectional Medalist; 2022 and 2023 Sectional Co-Medalist; 2022 District Medalist; 2022 District Player of the Year; 2023 District 1st Team; 2023 NWOAL Scholar-Athlete; National Honor Society Member; 2022 Ohio High School Golf Coaches Association Academic All-Ohio.
