Pastor Robert A. “Louie” Weber, age 54, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. Bigger than life, Louie will be missed by all who knew him. He loved preaching the Gospel, loved his family and friends, and loved anything to do with having fun!

Louie was born in Wauseon on August 4, 1963, the son of Paul “Tiny” and Jeanette “Greta” (Burkholder) Weber. On June 15, 1985 he married Robyn Seitzinger, and she survives.

Louie grew up in Wauseon and people knew him in his early years as “Bobby”. He had been a Youth Minister for the Delta Church of Christ from 1982 – 1984. He attended Kentucky Christian University from 1981 – 1985. He then earned his Master’s Degree in Communications at Abiline Christian University, from 1985 – 1987. He was a Professor at Kentucky Christian University from 1987 – 1994. From 1992 – 1994 he did Doctorate work at Ohio University. In 1994 he moved back to Wauseon and planted Oasis Christian Fellowship in 1995, having served as Senior Leader there from 1995 – 2014. He was an Adjunct Professor at Great Lakes Christian College from 1996 – 1998. Many years of his life he traveled as a conference speaker. Louie had also been a member of the Wauseon Rotary Club.

Surviving, besides his wife Robyn, are their children, Jazzi Weber and Brody Weber, both of Wauseon; mother, Jeanette “Greta” Weber of Wauseon; brother, John (Tammy) Weber of Wauseon; sister, Ellie (David) Wells of Wauseon, father-in-law, Bob Seitzinger of Wauseon, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Tiny, and mother-in-law, Cathy Seitzinger.

Visitation for Louie will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Oasis Christian Fellowship, 400 Enterprise Ave., Wauseon, OH, and again on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Celebration of Louie’s Life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 7, 2018, also at Oasis Christian Fellowship. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to the benevolence of the family. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
