(June 4th, 2015) – PETTISVILLE: Following a debilitating defeat in the opening game of a double header, the boys of Pettisville displayed pride and determination in the second contest of the evening against the Bluestreaks. Their efforts weren’t quite enough to claim victory, however.
The first match-up with Archbold saw the Blackbirds suffer a 13-1 defeat at the hands of their guests from just northwest. Yet, the home team’s exhibited the short term memory needed to shake off such a loss and return to the field ready to do battle once again.
And that’s exactly what they did.
Pettisville gave Archbold all they could handle in the contest, pushing the Bluestreaks to the brink. The Blackbirds couldn’t overtake their foe, though, as Archbold held on for a well earned win against a dogged, gritty Pettisville squad.
Archbold topped Pettisville 11-7.
