(September 25th, 2014)-STRYKER: Inviting BBC power Pettisville onto their home court, the Lady Panthers of Stryker knew they had a huge challenge before them. And while both the Seventh and Eighth Grade Stryker girls fell prey to the Blackbirds, their efforts in taking Pettisville to their limits is commendable.

In the Seventh Grade game, the Lady Panthers got off to a slow start. They dropped game 1 10-25. Battling back, Stryker took game 2 25-22. In the third and final game, both sides gave it their all. The Lady Blackbirds were barely able to come away with the win 26-24.

The Eighth Grade game also went to three sets. Pettisville pulled away late in the first game 25-19 to gain an early advantage in the series. With their backs to the wall, the Panthers fought back, taking game 2 25-23. Stryker couldn’t keep it up, though, as they dropped the third set 8-25, effectively losing the match.
