ARCHBOLD – The Pettisville Lady Blackbirds dispatched the Stryker Lady Panthers from the opening round of the Division IV Sectional Volleyball Tournament, winning in straight sets, 25-12, 25-6 and 25-14.
Claire Fry posted 2 aces and 9 assists for the Ladybirds; Emily Hubby landed 5 aces, adding 6 digs, 17 assists and 8 kills, and Ashlynn Waidelich had 2 aces, 6 digs and 8 kills. Carley Hoffmire rang up 3 digs; Emily Eicher had 5 digs, an assist and 3 kills and Jordyn Pursel planted 8 aces with 5 digs and 3 kills. Dana Fricke had 3 digs, 11 kills and 3 blocks, and Emily Kauffman had 3 aces and 3 digs.
No individual stats were received from Stryker.
