Pettisville Lady Blackbirds Hold Off North Central Lady Eagles 6-3

WAUSEON – The Pettisville Lady Blackbirds were able to survive two rain delays and a late comeback by the North Central Eagles to take the BBC battle 6-3 on April 23rd at Biddle Park.
Delaney Nofziger notched the win for the Blackbirds allowing three runs on five hits, fanned three and walked a trio.

Bralyn Wyrick was charged with the loss after surrendering six runs on eight hits, struck out three and issued four free passes to first.

Amber Klopfenstein, Emily Hubby and Stephanie Hubby each smacked a double for Pettisville. Johanna Roth and Taylor D’Alelio singled twice, while Andi Aeschliman stroked a base hit for the Lady Blackbirds who stand at 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

Wyrick doubled and singled for North Central, while Brittany Laney, Shaylee Oyer, and Sabrina Pickford each singled. The Lady Eagles are 5-5 on the season and 1-3 in the BBC.
