Pettisville Lady Blackbirds Overwhelm Fayette Lady Eagles In Wauseon

WAUSEON, April 21– The Pettisville Lady Blackbirds played a home game, using Wauseon’s Biddle Field as their home diamond for April, hosting the Fayette Lady Eagles on April 21. It was a blitz for the home team Blackbirds, who prevailed 27-3 in a game called after 2 and 2/3 innings.

Teagan Kauffman picked up the win, going 3 innings and allowing 3 hits along with 3 runs.

Offensively for Pettisville, Amber Klopfenstein led the way for the Lady Blackbirds, connecting on a 3 run shot over the fence and also powering out 2 singles in the game. Marissa beck and Jaelyn Rufenacht each had 2 singles, while Stephanie Hubby cracked a double and a single. Audra Klopfenstein, Emily Hubby and Teagan Kauffman also connected for singles in the victory.

For the Lady Eagles, Taylor Hartman got tagged with the loss, throwing 2 innings and allowing 10 hits and 9 walks resulting in 20 runs. Offensively, Jordan Douglas connected for a double in the loss.

Pettisville moves to 4-1 on the season in the BBC while moving to 5-4 on the season. Fayette falls to 0-5 in the BBC and 0-6 on the year.
