ARCHBOLD: April 22– The Wauseon Lady Indians headed down the road to Archbold on April 21 for an in conference showdown with the neighboring Lady Blue Streaks, walking away with a narrow 5-4 loss to the host Streaks.
On the mound for the Lady Indians, Brooke Whipple took the loss, going 4 innings and allowing 5 runs off of 5 hits while walking 3 runners. Sam Norman also saw action, throwing 2 full innings giving up just 1 hit and no runs.
For Wauseon offensively, Whipple connected for a double from the batter’s box along with teammate Hayley Chamberlain. Whipple turned in a 3 for 3 performance batting for the Lady Indians while Faith Hicks turned in a solid 2 for 3 day. Olivia Banister had a hit in the game along with Breanna Coblentz in the loss.
