WEST UNITY – The Hilltop Lady Cadets hosted the Lady Blackbirds of Pettisville on September 25. Both teams gave it their all with Hilltop coming out on top in five sets, 25-12, 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, and 16-14.

Emily Hubby had a monster night, leading Hilltop with 19 assists along with 12 digs, 9 kills, 2 aces, and 1 block. Clair Fry counted 10 assists and 6 digs on the night while Ashlynn Waidelich led the team with 5 kills while also counting 8 digs, 10 kills, and 2 blocks. Carley Hoffmire added 8 digs and 2 kills of her own while Emily Eicher had a whipping 16 digs along with 2 aces and 1 assist. Kate Kauffman had 3 digs and 1 assist on the night with Jordyn Pursel contributing 2 aces, 5 digs, and 4 kills. Molly Bruner had 1 dig, 1 assist, and 1 kill in the contest while Dana Fricke added 1 dig of her own along with a team high 12 kills. Stephanie Hubby and Emily

Kauffman contributed 6 and 7 digs respectively with Kauffman also scoring 1 ace.
