The Pioneer Friends of the Library Open Meeting will be on February 1, 2016 at 7 PM. We would encourage anyone interested in the library to attend. The Library presents children’s programs for the summer season and also programs for after school as well as several adult programs. Book Talkers meet every Wednesday at 1 PM and there have been knitting classes in the past.

The current status of our Board in two people from Pioneer and four from Michigan. The Friends supply funds for the summer programs plus snacks and supplies for the winter programs for children after school. At this time, we are only doing one main fund raiser, which is the Reverse Drawing in October. We Will have a small book sale at the time of the Pioneer Festival. The board meets four times a year, unless something more is needed for the library or just before the Reverse Drawing. The Board donated $3,000 toward upgrading the inside of the library this fall.

Please come to the meeting. If you don’t not feel that you can be on the board, please come support us and maybe help with the Reverse Drawing or at least buy a ticket for the Reverse Drawing. Last year we were very short of help and remember, this is what funds the activities for the children and adults who use the library.
