R. Taylor Insurance Agency held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, January 8. The business is located at 1239 E. Main Street in Montpelier.
Rick Taylor, the owner, purchased the business from his father in 2006. He lives in the Bryan area with his wife, Julie. They have four daughters and a high-energy black lab.
Rick began his career in the insurance business in 1999, working alongside his father before ultimately purchasing the company. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor designation, which requires training and exams in several areas: Commercial Lines Risk Management, Personal Lines, Personal Risk Management, Life and Health, Agency Management, and Insurance Company Operations.
Taylor has acquired several insurance agencies over the years, including the Gearig All Star Agency from Denny Gearig in 2023. R. Taylor Insurance now operates offices in Bryan, Hicksville, and Montpelier.
R. Taylor Insurance, founded in 1974, is a leader in providing quality protection for individuals, families, and businesses throughout Ohio and beyond. The agency is licensed in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
It operates independently and partners with multiple insurance companies to offer coverage for a broad spectrum of risk factors.
