On Saturday, June 28th at noon, Bear Arms Armory & Archery held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its location on Airport Highway in Swanton, marking the official celebration of new ownership and a refreshed identity at the site formerly known as Cleland’s Outdoor World.
Hosted in partnership with the Swanton Area Chamber of Commerce, the ceremony brought together family members, longtime customers, and friends to commemorate the transition.
While the business has remained in operation during the changeover, the ribbon cutting symbolized the formal name change.
Following the ribbon cutting, attendees toured the updated facility and enjoyed food, giveaways, and product demonstrations as part of a weekend-long celebration.
The newly branded Bear Arms Armory & Archery now features a modernized retail showroom, an indoor pistol range, a dedicated archery range, and a lineup of concealed carry (CCW) training classes, all aimed at serving firearm and archery enthusiasts of every experience level.
The facility’s update represents both continuity and change. Bear Arms has preserved the legacy of the site as a hub for sport shooting and outdoor gear while expanding on it with a renewed focus on education, customer service, and access to high-quality equipment.
The ceremony served not just as a milestone for the business, but as a message to the surrounding community that Bear Arms intends to remain a destination for training, sport, and responsible firearm ownership.
With operational updates now in place and the backing of an established team already serving customers at their original Perrysburg location, the owners turn their attention toward future growth and continued service to both new and returning customers.
